Origin and timeline of Martial arts
Martial arts was developed in Okinawa, where chinese soldiers set up a military camp. Chinese soldiers and military personal taught the locals Kung-Fu. Some people from the chinese mainland came to learn these practises. These visitors brought back new ideas that were all mixed together to create Karate. Other styles formed from Karate.

(264BC)- First recorded combat. (500)- The Shaolin temple is built. (1674)- The Shaolin temple is burned down, but is later rebuilt. (1700)- Development of Kung-Fu. (1882)- Development of Judo.
